We collect the data shown in the comment form when visitors leave comments on the site, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string generated from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to everyone in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for convenience so that you do not need to re-enter your details when you leave another comment. These cookies will be valid for one year.

How long do we keep your data?

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are stored indefinitely. This is so that we can automatically recognize and approve any follow-up comments instead of keeping them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.

What rights do you have over your data?

You can also request that we delete the personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data that we are obliged to retain for administrative, legal or security purposes.
